Board of Supervisors Minutes

December 1, 2009

The Tama County Board of Supervisors met at 9:30 a.m., December 1, 2009.
Present: 1st District Supervisor, Larry Vest and 3rd District
Supervisor, Dan Wilkens. 2nd District Supervisor; Kendall Jordan was
absent.

Motion by Wilkens, seconded by Vest to approve the minutes of the
November 24th, 2009, regular meeting. All voted aye. Motion carried.

The Board met with Lyle Brehm, Tama County Engineer to get a road
projects report.

At 9:30 the Board held a public hearing regarding the vacating of 210th
Street between U and V Avenue in Clark Township. Adjacent landowners
that were present had no objections to the closing. Chairman Vest
closed the public hearing at 9:37.

Motion by Wilkens, seconded by Vest to approve the following resolution
to vacate a road in Section 28 of Clark Township:

RESOLUTION NO. 12-1-2009A

WHEREAS, a public hearing of the Tama County Boards of Supervisors was
held at 9:30 am on December 1st, 2009, in the office of the Tama County
Board of Supervisors to consider the proposal to vacate the following
road:

All or a portion of 210th Street between U Avenue and V Avenue,
originally established on May 30, 1871 (See Road Calendar Book B, page
219) all lying in Sections 28 and 33, T85N, R13W of Tama County, Iowa,
and

WHEREAS, no objections have been received, either in writing or by
persons present, and

WHEREAS, no claims for damages were received,

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that 210th Street from about 33 feet east of
the NW corner of Section 33-85-13 to about 33 feet west of the NE corner
of Section 33-85-13 be ordered vacated and closed.

Roll Call Vote: Vest, aye. Wilkens, aye. Resolution passed and
adopted this 1st day of December 2009. Larry Vest, Chairman, Board of
Supervisors. Laura Kopsa, County Auditor.

Motion by Wilkens, seconded by Vest to approve the claims for payment as
presented. All voted aye. Motion carried.

Chairman Vest adjourned the meeting at 10:05 a.m.
