Board of Supervisors Minutes

December 22, 2009

The Tama County Board of Supervisors met at 9:30 a.m., December 22,
2009. Present: 1st District Supervisor, Larry Vest; 2nd District
Supervisor, Kendall Jordan and 3rd District Supervisor, Dan Wilkens.

Motion by Jordan, seconded by Wilkens to approve the minutes of the
December 15th, 2009, regular meeting. All voted aye. Motion carried.

The Board met with Lyle Brehm, Tama County Engineer to get a road
projects report.

Lyle Holst was present to discuss a drainage problem he is having with
his property in Section 32 of Salt Creek Township.

At 10:00 the Board had the first reading of the Tama County Wind Energy
Conversion Assessment Ordinance. The purpose of this ordinance is to
provide for the special valuation of wind energy conversion property
pursuant to Iowa Code Chapter 427B.26. A complete copy of this
ordinance is available in the Tama County Auditor's Office. There were
no comments from the public. Motion by Wilkens, seconded by Jordan to
set a public hearing and second reading of the ordinance for Tuesday
January 5th, 2010 in the boardroom.

Motion by Jordan, seconded by Wilkens to re-appoint John Keenan, Tama to
the Tama County Conservation Board for a term to run 1-1-2010 thru
12-21-2013. All voted aye. Motion carried.

Motion by Jordan, seconded by Wilkens to approve the claims for payment
as presented. All voted aye. Motion carried.

Chairman Vest adjourned the meeting at 10:40 a.m.

At 10:40 the Board held their annual weed meeting.
