Board of Supervisors Minutes

May 26, 2009

The Tama County Board of Supervisors met at 9:30 a.m., May 26, 2009.
Present: 1st District Supervisor, Larry Vest; 2nd District Supervisor,
Kendall Jordan and 3rd District Supervisor, Dan Wilkens.

Motion by Jordan, seconded by Wilkens to approve the minutes of the May
19th, 2009, regular meeting. All voted aye. Motion carried.

The Board met with Lyle Brehm, Tama County Engineer to get a road
projects report.

The Board met with Tammy Wise, Tama County CPC to discuss how things are
going at the county care facility. There were three contracts to
discuss with the Board. 1) Genesis Development, Inc to provide
administrative services from June 1, 2009 to June30, 2009.

2) Start-up Transition Grant for Genesis Development, Inc. as of July 1,
2009. 3.) Update the regular provider rate to $34.00 per day for Genesis
Development, Inc as of July 1, 2009.

Motion by Wilkens, seconded by Jordan to approve the 3 contracts for
CPC. All voted aye. Motion carried.

Motion by Jordan, seconded by Wilkens to approve the following
resolution to charge a fee for the cancellation of a Sheriff's sale:

RESOLUTION 5-26-2009A

WHEREAS, it would be in the best public interest for the Tama County
Sheriff's Office to charge an additional fee for the cancellation of
Sheriff's sales in the amount of $50.00 (This amount will reimburse the
county for paperwork and research done prior to the sale.)

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Tama County Board of Supervisors
that this date met in lawful session, that the Tama County Sheriff's
Office is hereby authorized to charge an additional fee of $50.00 for
the cancellation of a Sheriff's sale. Dated this 26th day of May, 2009.

Roll Call Vote: Vest, aye. Jordan, aye. Wilkens aye. Resolution
passed and adopted this 12th day of May 2009. Larry Vest, Chairman
Board of Supervisors. Laura Kopsa, County Auditor by Maureen Kratoska,
Deputy Auditor.

Motion by Wilkens, seconded by Jordan to approve the following
resolution to appropriate funds:

RESOLUTION 5-26-2009B

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Tama County Board of Supervisors hereby
approves the appropriations to department budgets as follows per the
budget amendment approved on

5-12-2009:

Supervisors (01) $40,312

Economic Development(09) $22,799

Veterans Affairs (21) $10,000

Conservation (22) $23,911

Public Health (23) $82,815

Data Processing (52) $ 1,570

Total $181,407

Roll Call Vote: Vest, aye. Jordan, aye. Wilkens, aye. Resolution
adopted this 26th day of May, 2009. Larry Vest, Chairman, Board of
Supervisors. Laura Kopsa, County Auditor by Maureen Kratoska, Deputy
Auditor

Motion by Jordan, seconded by Wilkens to approve the claims for payment
as presented. All voted aye. Motion carried.
