Board of Supervisors Minutes

September 15, 2009

The Tama County Board of Supervisors met at 9:30 a.m., September 15,
2009. Present: 1st District Supervisor, Larry Vest; 2nd District
Supervisor, Kendall Jordan; and 3rd District Supervisor, Dan Wilkens.

Motion by Jordan, seconded by Wilkens to approve the minutes of the
September 8th, 2009, regular meeting. All voted aye. Motion carried.

The Board met with Lyle Brehm, Tama County Engineer to get a road
projects report.

There was discussion about recent legislation that was passed that
requires counties to try to have gender balance on appointive boards,
commissions, committees and councils. The bill requires a fair and
unbiased method of selecting the best qualified applicants for
memberships on boards and commissions. This will be discussed again
next week.

Todd Rickert, Tama County CPC, was present to let the Board know that
effective October 1, 2009, case managers will be required to be on call
24/7.

Motion by Wilkens, seconded by Jordan to approve the claims for payment
as presented. All voted aye. Motion carried.

Chairman Vest adjourned the meeting at 10:15 a.m.
