Nancy Kerns, resident at Union Grove Lake, along with members of Lake & Park Holding, LLC were present to visit with the Board about possibly creating an ordinance that would cover rural areas that are zoned as R1 (Residential, 1 family dwelling) to help with issues out in those areas that are becoming a nuisance due to neglect and failure to upkeep. Sometimes some of these properties can pose a hazard as they can be dangerous and infested with animals and rodents which can become a danger to public safety. Michael Marquess, Attorney, a resident at the lake and on the lake board offered his services to draw up a proposal/sample ordinance for the Supervisors to look at and to seek opinions on. The Board was agreeable to this. This item will be tabled until there is a proposal to look at. No action taken.
